Benjamin Ahr Harrison lives in Brooklyn. He directs music videos and comedies. He writes screenplays and prose, and occasionally blogs. He takes the occasional photograph and cooks the occasional meal. He never talks about himself in the third person. His production company is called Machine Man Inc.

I made this movie with Michael Hoffman way back in 2002. I’m clearing off my hard drive now to free up some space for my latest film (see previous post), and this was just taking up space. So I got my friend B-Zone to help me mix down our sound from pro tools, and I’ve compressed it and it’s now on my site for downloading.
The film is not really “done”. There is one voice over that we somehow never recorded, and for that I apologize (you’ll just hear Mike’s voice as he reads it for Tobin on set). There are a few moments where sound effects should have been added but never were. But for all it’s problems, I think it has a lot of strengths. So check it out. Hope you enjoy it.
The file is 193 MB and the film is 30 minutes long, so give yourself some time if you’re going to sit down and watch it start to finish.
Maybe we’ll record a director commentary track this winter. Who knows?

I completed principal photography of my intermediate film, tentatively titled “Ninjas are Awexome?” I uploaded about 45 production stills to my flickr page, and I thought I’d share them with the blog.
Right now I’m in movie-limbo because my footage is all off being processed. I had to use two different labs because the one I wanted to use for my negative footage doesn’t do normal processing on reversal and vice-versa. Both of these labs have done great work for me and my friends, but I’ve also heard some real horror stories in the past month or so, so I can’t say I’m not a little nervous.
In the meantime enjoy the stills. They were almost all taken by my roommate, friend and assistant director, Tomás Diaz.

I’ve been admitted to Tisch’s screenwriting semester in Dublin! If you’re looking for me next spring, you can find me on the block disobeying the law…IN IRELAND. Should be an amusing and refreshing break from Jesusland and all the stresses of a production semester. And I’ll totally have a good excuse not to crew on my friend’s movies. And lord knows I’m always looking for those.
Be it known, the following people are expected to visit me or make time for me to visit them. In no particular order, other than that of the alphabet: Steve Cairney, The Queen of England, Dana Robles, Phil Sherry, and anyone else who I know who might be around Europe during that time period. If I didn’t mention you I hope you cry about it.
